Ischia and procida
The most famous Gulf of the World has two jewels that everybody should see: Itchier and Provide.
The green island, Ischia, offers incomparable landscapes where culture and nature have always dialogued harmonically: from the Maronti Beach to the summit of Mount Epomeo, from the thermal baths of Casamicciola to the small roads of Ischia Ponte, from the Aragonese Castle in the middle of the sea to the fishing village of Sant'Angelo.
Without omitting the folk feasts like the Corsa dell'Angelo (the race of the Angel) in Forio or the dance of the 'Ndrezzata in Barano, the local dishes like the rabbit Ischia Styleand the local wine, strong and generous.
Arthur's Island, Procida, instead, as Elsa Morante defined it, is very small but extraordinarily intense: the multicoloured houses set one against the other make it unforgettable to walk in that village where time progressively slows down to a stop. Reaching Terra Murataand its ancient convent of San Michele, looking out over the charming Marina of Corricella, assisting at the solemn representations of the Easter mysteries...in Procida everything seems to accompany the tourist in an oneiric and fabulous world.
